Costco now has a new four-pack of affordable Bordeaux wines, packaged in a small wooden box. The wines are from the 2022 vintage and include two Bordeaux Supérieur wines and a couple Premieres Côtes de Bordeaux wines, one of which is a Cadillac—a small region in Entre-Deux-Mers known for producing excellent wines. The four-pack is priced at $29.95 (or $29.99) in states that don’t add excise tax to alcohol, making it just $7.50 per bottle, which is a great deal for wines of this quality, even better than many from California.
Costco has been doing this for about 10 years now, offering a variety of wines from each vintage, including gold medal winners. Most of these wines are rated 90 points or higher. Initially, I didn’t think much about the idea, but after trying them, holy mackerel—this is a steal!
