There’s a unique product that many people don’t even know exists—padding adhesive. It’s what printers use when they make notepads. If you’ve ever had a stack of papers you wanted to turn into a notepad that lets you tear off sheets easily, padding adhesive is the key.

When you visit a print shop and request custom notepads with your logo, the sheets are bound together using this adhesive. Now, you can purchase it yourself—whether in a small jar or a larger quantity, depending on your needs. While you might not need a gallon, having a small jar on hand is incredibly useful.

I recently used padding adhesive to organize bank deposit slips that were scattered in a drawer. With a little adhesive applied along the edges, I made a clean notepad, allowing me to tear off each slip one by one. It’s a simple process: apply the adhesive with a brush or dip the edge of your paper stack in the adhesive, let it dry overnight, and you’ll have a professional-looking notepad by morning.

Padding adhesive is a versatile tool that can make paper organizing much more efficient. It works better than paperclips or staples, and the result looks neat and professional. You can use it to bind your printed documents or even for small office projects.

There are several brands available. The one I use is called CFS Binding Supplies Padding Adhesive. It might seem like a minor product, but once you try it, you’ll find plenty of uses for it. I highly recommend picking up a jar for your office—you might even impress your colleagues with your ingenuity!

For a bit of fun, here’s a creative idea: go to the bank, grab a fresh stack of dollar bills, and apply the padding adhesive to one edge. Once it dries, you’ll have a bound stack of money that you can tear off, one bill at a time, like pages from a notepad. It’s an amusing way to get attention, especially if you’re feeling bold. You can take this stack of bound bills to the store and tear off dollar after dollar, or—if you’re feeling adventurous—bring it to a strip club. Imagine the reactions when you pull out your bound book of crisp dollar bills and tear them off one by one.

With padding adhesive, the possibilities are endless. From making notepads to creating custom-bound money stacks, it’s a product that’s as functional as it is fun. Give it a try—you might even surprise yourself with how often you’ll use it!
