Let me tell you about the Clearly Filtered water filter. You can find it at clearlyfiltered.com. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s supposed to remove fluoride and pretty much everything, similar to the Berkey filter. I heard about it from JC’s wife, Jessie—she’s big on this stuff because of her allergies, so she’s tried a lot of filters.
I used the Zero filter before, which mainly removes dissolved solids, but Clearly Filtered takes out way more. The filters last about a year, depending on use—if you fill it daily, maybe 6 to 9 months. There’s no way to know exactly when to change it, but Jessie swears it’s the best one out there.
One downside: the packaging is pretty bad. The lid doesn’t fit right and can come off, but the water tastes great. I got my refills from Amazon and highly recommend it despite the flaws.
